Medical Billing Specialist

Busy Anatomic Pathology Lab is in search of a medical billing specialist. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a practical knowledge of medical commercial insurance, Medicare/Medicaid and self pay billing as well certified in CPT and ICD-10 coding. Duties include insurance filing, working denials, secondary insurance, processing and posting payments as well as generating patient statements. Must effectively communicate with insurance companies, clients and patients while maintaining pleasant and professional tones. Person will also assist others in the billing department as needed including vacation coverage and report preparations. We are in search of an independent thinker who is able to problem solve, retain knowledge, learns quickly and adapt to necessary change.

Hours are 8-4 Monday through Friday 

Salary based on experience in either medical billing or revenue cycle management and certifications.
