WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
EXEMPTION: Non-exempt
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Support collaborative efforts to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the ABC warehouse.
PRIMARY TASKS:
• Model and communicate established warehouse policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
• Provide positive service to store personnel.
• Communicate complaints or concerns to Warehouse Manager for resolution or follow up.
• Ensure safety, health, and security policies and procedures are followed.
• Participate in loading and unloading merchandise, organizing, and storing it properly.
• Ensure the warehouse remains clean and organized.
• Assist with warehouse inventory and resolution of any discrepancies and variances.
• Notify management of needed repairs, equipment maintenance, and safety hazards.
• Locate merchandise and verify accuracy with delivery specifications and inventory.
• Execute delivery schedule as directed.
• Assist with fulfillment of mixed beverage orders as required based on demand and staffing.
• Support, in action and speech, the stated goals of the organization.
• Performs other duties as required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
This position reports to the Warehouse Manager
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Employee is exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions, both hot and cold weather and wet and dry conditions.
• Exposure to cleaning agent fumes, odors, and dust.
• Employee is exposed to moderate to loud noises.
• Must be able to perform all basic life operational functions of fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, climbing, walking and balancing.
• Must possess visual acuity to prepare data and complete detailed reports and forms.
• Must be able to perform heavy work exerting 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds of force frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
JOB CONTEXT:
• This position works up to 20 hours per week during the five day work week
• Weekends and overtime are sometimes necessary to fulfill the job duties
• The stress level of this job is low to moderate
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE:
Special consideration given to those with warehouse or ABC system experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• Ability to keep a calm and professional demeanor, especially in stressful situations.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English in a capacity sufficient to perform the tasks of the position.
• Ability to discern product codes and names and complete various inventory forms.
• Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
• General knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions
• General knowledge of driving light commercial automotive equipment
• General knowledge of modern storeroom and inventory practices
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure using whole numbers
• Ability to develop and effectively maintain relationships with other employees and the general public
• Ability to keep themselves in good physical condition
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid North Carolina Driver’s License; preferably a CDL
