Summary: The Community Relations Manager sustains positive relationships with Chamber Members, residents, nonprofit organizations, and collaborative workspace guests, to cultivate a favorable operating climate. Responsible for developing strategies designed to make positive contributions to Moore County, while simultaneously raising awareness for the services and programs offered by the Moore County Chamber of Commerce. Operate in various capacities, including customer service, program marketing/design, and communications, while overseeing the general management of the facility. Community Relations Manager brainstorms, plans, and manages activities to help the organization achieve its public relations goals. Execute events, programs, and services aligned with the Chamber’s mission and strategic plan. Develop strong relationships within the community to ensure the organization produces meaningful results and maintains a positive image while also increasing outreach of initiatives and programs. Community Relations Manager is the first impression of the Moore County Chamber of Commerce and will serve as the initial point of contact in most situations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Clerical & Support
Manage sensitive data, including mail and payments, ensure the security and confidentiality of material, correspondence, and information.
Identifies and utilizes data-driven approaches to create best practice solutions for the organization.
Develop and manage events, budgets, online and in-person registration, and marketing.
Maintain the Chamber database: create reports, maintain accuracy, enter/download/analyze data when needed.
Community Relations
Understand the Chamber membership fee schedule, collaborative workspace subscription model, and answer questions about memberships and fees.
Assists with Chamber and collaborative sales and bookings, appointments, and taking of payments.
Provide guests with tours and schedule appointments.
Responsible for reaching out to current members and collaborative workspace users via, email, social media and by phone when needed.
Responsible for assisting callers with information, with assistance from other staff members, and direct calls to appropriate organizations or people.
Programs/Events
Attend all Chamber events and actively interacts with members and guests.
Assist staff on event and program details, including but not limited to, Economic Outlook, Golf Classic and Moore Trivia.
Attend events as needed with advance notice.
Participate in monthly trainings or events if the need arises.
Communications and Marketing
Responsible for overseeing the Chamber Communications Plan.
Assist with the maintenance and enhancement of the Chamber’s branding and marketing.
Build awareness of Chamber activities including the writing and distribution of news releases, Chamber member news and other communication content; and
Continually reviews and recommends ways to improve and enhance internal and external communications.
Oversee all building management functions.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
While assigned to specific responsibilities, Community Relations Manager will assist other members of staff when the need arises.
Performs various other assignments as assigned.

Position Requests:
2-year associate's degree or 2 years of relevant experience.
Maintain confidentiality always.
Possess a valid driver’s license, be available for occasional early morning, evening or weekend meetings and events, devote the occasional additional hours, regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds with modifications.
