The MRI Patient Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to greet and screen patients. Transport patients to and from MRI scanner to procedure, ensure paperwork and films are prepared and organized, ensure patients have a clear understanding of when to expect exam reporting and provide patients with contact information in the event that they may have questions. The MRI Patient Coordinator will also help in EKG as well to cover lunches and shifts at times. They will perform 12 lead EKG's on patients. Charging and charting in various computer programs.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1.Greet, screen, and safely transport patients to the scan control area and return them when imaging is complete.
2.Perform and/or aide patient transfer on/off the table, ensure patient comfort, as directed. Assist in administering preliminary and post exam instructions and answering any non-medical related questions.
3.Enter accurate patient, physician, and exam information into the various computer programs.
4.Assist technologist with paperwork and charting. Review charts and orders for accuracy.
5.Clean unit, make supply lists, restock unit
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
2.BLS Certification
3.Ability to work long shifts
4.Strong customer service skills
5.Organizational and multi-tasking skills
6.Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
7.Clearance to enter MRI unit room
