SUMMARY:
The Phone Triage RN works closely with the Women's Providers to facilitate all aspects of clinical care for patients via the Women's Phone triage nurse line. The Phone Triage RN will work hybrid to consist of being in office and working remotely. The Phone Triage RN will triage all calls to determine the appropriate level of care and schedule patient as needed, or direct to L&D. The Phone Triage RN will also use their nursing background to educate patients on triage calls regarding all aspects of their procedures, testing, medications and post op care.

Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation certificate from an accredited RN school of nursing
- Hold and Maintain current NCBON RN nursing license.
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Phones
- Provides phone support for patients with concerns or questions related to GYN and prenatal care; medications, problems, test results, treatment plans.
- Triage patient needs and determines appropriate level of care.
- Schedule patients for work in appointments as appropriate.
- Calls in prescriptions.
- Provides follow-up on lab work and testing.
- Works with providers to appropriately schedule patients according to their need(s).

- Appropriately notify the department manager if unable to cover a time frame agreed to previously.
- Return patient calls promptly.
