SUMMARY:

The Physical Therapist Assistant following the devised plan as set by the Physical Therapist using evidence based and effective treatment strategies. Physical Therapy Assistant collaborate, synthesize and use evidence based physical therapy practices to ensure the highest quality of care and superior outcomes for patients.

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Must have graduated from an accredited program
  2. Current state license as a Registered Physical Therapy Assistant
  3. Current BLS certification
  4. Experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  6. Thorough understanding of injury treatment and prevention
  7. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
  8. Must be able to carry, pull, push, and lift equipment necessary for care


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Deliver the highest care optimizing superior clinical outcomes
  2. Prioritize patient care
  3. Provide direct patient care
  4. Administer and advance treatment programs with specific goals defined by patients and the Physical Therapist and based on tolerance and in accordance with physician orders
  5. Educate patients
  6. Document and record patient condition
  7. Provide continuing updates on patient condition
