JOB DETAILS:
• Respond to community complaints and inquiries
• Investigate crimes, accidents, and any unusual incidents
• Monitor and control speeding on highway thoroughfare and in residential areas
• Enforcement of Town ordinances
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:
• Establish departmental goals and policies
• Develop and monitor departmental budget and inventory
• Prepare clear and concise administrative and financial reports
• Continually seek Public Safety grants
• Develop positive relationship with community residents and businesses
QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 5 years law enforcement experience
• Certified law enforcement in the state of North Carolina
• Certified in the use of firearms
• Experienced with methods and techniques of investigation
• Knowledge of pertinent Federal, State, and local laws and codes
